Dr. Lee Bush Principal/Administrator		Attended the University of Illinois from 1965-1969, graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Eastern Illinois in 1976, Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida in 1988, and Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, in 1993. Teacher of Emotionally Handicapped for 3 years, 4th and 5th Grade for 9 years, Elementary Principal for 13 years, High School Assistant Principal/Athletic Director for 2 years, and Superintendent for 3 years. Married to my wonderful wife Faye for 23 years, 4 children, and 4 grandchildren.

Mrs. Christine Hoffman Executive Assistant		Native New Yorker. Grew up on Long Island. Resident of Cape Coral since 2002. Employee of the City’s charter school system since June 2005. Over 30 years experience in business and education. Enjoys spending quality time with family, cooking, swimming, gardening, reading and bike riding.

Mrs. Catherine Hoggs-Perez Secretary to the Prinicpal		Our family moved from New York to Cape Coral, Florida 5 years ago and I joined the law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. as the Support Services Manager. I left Henderson Franklin to become part of the Christa McAuliffe family as Secretary to the Principal and absolutely love it! My background also includes over 5 years experience in the corporate environment as well as over 10 years of supervisory and management experience in the hotel industry specifically in Rooms Operations/Guest Services. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. I enjoy baking, dancing and laughing and spending time with my husband and daughter.

Mrs. Jenny Powless Guidance Counselor		Hi, my name is Jenny Powless and I’m the School Counselor at the fantastic Christa McAuliffe Charter Elementary School. I’m from a small town in WI and I don’t miss the snow or cold one bit. I graduated from Univ. of WI with my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice and my Master’s of Arts degree (K-12) from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI. Some of my hobbies are spending time with my family and dogs, boating, reading, relaxing, scrapbooking and beading. I truly enjoy working with kids and teaching them about the essential character education skills in life. I look forward to be the best School Counselor I can be. Hope you enjoy our school!

Mr. Tony Iannacone Information Technology Specialist		Hello, I'm Tony Iannacone, Information Technology Specialist for Christa McAuliffe Charter Elementary School. I have a A.A. in Computer Science/Video Production, MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certifications and my ITIL certification in Information Technology Service Management. I love working at this great school heading into my fourth year, continuing to provide a technology rich, ever changing learning experience for our students & staff to utilize. I moved to Florida in 2004 from New Jersey and absolutely love the Florida lifestyle. In my personal time I love boating, the beach, swimming, bike riding, walking, movies and would like obtain my private pilot license. I'm looking forward to another great year providing our students the latest technology in the classroom learning environment.

Mrs. Michaela Carson Information Specialist		This is my third year as the Information Specialist at Christa McAuliffe. The first year the school opened I was the Parent Involvement Coordinator. Previously, I was the Office Manager for the Division of Education at Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. I have always had an interest in education and enjoy working in such an uplifting environment. I have always had an interest in education and enjoy working in such an uplifting environment. My daughter is currently a 6^th grader at Oasis Middle School. I was born in Seattle, WA and have a deep love for the Pacific Northwest and Ireland. My family loves to travel and go camping with our two beautiful huskies. I also enjoy reading and digital scrapbooking.

Mrs. Jennifer Newman Clinic Specialist		I have been working at Christa McAuliffe Elementary since our school opened in 2006. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant and have also worked with the Lee Memorial Health System in pediatrics.

Mr. Vic. Rachoza Facility Maintenance		Hi I am from Michigan originally but lived in Tenneessee for 11 years & worked in the UAW with GM for 30 years. I have been a Cape Coral resident since 2004. I have had the pleasure of working with the charter schools for the past 3 years. I am also on the charter school safety committee and proud to be part of the charter school family.

Mrs. Marjorie Galyon Parent Involvement Coordinator		I am a native Floridian, married with 1 son, 2 grandsons and a yellow Lab named Abby.I became part of the Christa McAuliffe family when my grandchildren started school here in 2006. I can’t think of any place I’d rather be than with these wonderful children and caring staff.

Mrs. Liz Lugo Cafeteria Manager		Hi! I am Liz Lugo and I love managing the cafeteria here at Christa McAuliffe. I do my best to provide healthy menu options for the students and staff here at the school. I have been with this school for 2 years and have worked at Chico’s for the past 10 years. I was a certified manager at Chico’s headquarters’ for 5 years. I wanted to spend more time with my children so I started a new career at Christa McAuliffe. I was born in Puerto Rico but raised here in South West Florida. I look forward to a great school year and providing your kids with a great menu!

Mrs. Luz Llerena Assistant Food Service		Hi I'm Luz Llerena and I am the school's food service representative. I'm originally from Sinaloa, Mexico and have been a Cape Coral resident for three years with my husband and two children. I've been happily employed at Christa McAuliffe Elementary for two years and in my free time I enjoy relaxing and having fun with my family.
