Welcome to Fourth Grade!

Students will experience many new challenges as a part of our curriculum and our goal is to do whatever possible to help them succeed in all areas. We use the Treasures reading curriculum and meet daily in smaller Guided Reading groups to provide enrichment for students. We also use the Voyages Math Curriculum, which is challenging, but offers a hands-on approach to math. Our Social Studies and Science topics include: Europe in the Middle Ages; The American Revolution; African Kingdoms; Plant and Animal Cells; Electricity and Magnetism; and Meteorology. Through all of these topics and more, students are exposed to the various types of writing used to express themselves from journals and letter writing to personal narratives and persuasive essays. It truly is an amazing year.
