We are excited to be your partner in educating your child.

Each of our teachers have unique strengths and are focused on helping each child to achieve at the highest level. We have a balanced literacy program using Treasures Reading Curriculum, Guided Reading, and Spalding Phonograms.

We offer the Lindamood-Bell Intensive Reading program to our students having reading difficulties.

Our Voyages Math Curriculum offers a challenging yet fun approach to math.

In Core Knowledge we bring social studies, science, and literature to life with our exciting 2nd grade traditions such as Pioneer Day, Greek Festival, and Charlotte’s Web Day!

Ms. Carrie Abes		Greetings! My name is Carrie Abes and I graduated from the University of South Florida with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I am currently pursuing my Masters in Elementary Education at West Virginia University. This is my 4th year teaching at Christa McAuliffe, I have taught 3rd grade for 3 years and looking forward to the adventure of teaching 2nd grade. I am an avid sports fan and love spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Mary-Ann Rone		I am originally from New Jersey but have lived in Florida most of my life. I moved to Cape Coral in 1979 when there was only one high school in town. After Cape High, I graduated from the University of Central Florida where I majored in Elementary Education. I had no doubt that I wanted to make a difference in children’s lives. I have spent all of my 18 teaching years in Lee County. My husband Steve and I have three wonderful children. Joshua, Jaclyn, and Jillian all attend this one of a kind Charter System. I am thrilled to now be a part of the Christa McAuliffe family!

Mrs. Dena Kowalski		I am excited to begin a new school year at Christa McAuliffe Charter Elementary School! This will be my fifteenth year in elementary education, and I am eager to begin my service to the children here at Christa McAuliffe. While I am not a Florida native, I have lived in Lee County for fifteen years. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, where I was born and lived until I made my way to sunny Florida! I believe that education is a journey and I feel grateful to be able to play a small part along the way!

Mrs. Theresa Lane		I graduated from Park University in Kansas City, Missouri, in December 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. This will be my second year teaching and I am proud to be a part of Christa McAuliffe’s team. I have an amazing husband and am very close with my family. I also love reading, fishing, being outdoors and watching children learn and grow.

Ms. Rebecca Isbell		I am so excited and blessed to be teaching this year at Christa McAuliffe Charter Elementary. This is my first year at Christa McAuliffe, and while being new to this school, I am also new to the state of Florida. I moved to Cape Coral this summer from Dallas, Texas where I also taught second grade. Being a native Texan, I received my degree in Applied Leaning and Development from The University of Texas in Austin. Hook 'em Horns! Other than Texas football, I enjoy reading, cooking, fishing, and learning new things everyday from my students! Even though I have just started my life in Florida, I know it’s going to be great!
